St. Barth, a tropical haven nestled in the Caribbean, is renowned for its pristine beaches, azure waters, and a vibrant culinary scene. While exploring this idyllic island, one cannot miss the opportunity to indulge in the delightful world of cocktails. From the Island inspired Planters Punch to classics such as the Dusty Martini and the bold Bloody Mary, St. Barth offers a sensory journey of mixology. Here we'll explore these three delectable cocktails and the best spots to enjoy them on this enchanting island.
1. Planters Punch:
The moment you set foot in St. Barth, immerse yourself in the tropical flavors of a classic Planters Punch. This rum-based concoction features a harmonious blend of fruity flavors, citrusy tang, and a hint of island spice. Our favorite local spot serving delicious yet dangerous "Planteurs" as they are called here is Le Select in the heart of Gustavia.  Make sure to leave a good tip, they may recognize you with a loud bang on the gong (reserved exclusively for their best customers!)
2. Classic Dusty Martini:
For those seeking a touch of sophistication, the Dusty Martini is a timeless choice and the most beautiful spot to imbibe in this classic cocktail is at Fouquet's at the Carl Gustaf Hotel overlooking Gustavia Harbor.  Sip your Dusty Martini (wrapped in a red bow) while soaking in the breathtaking sunset views, and let the island's charm captivate your senses.
3. Bloody Mary:
When it comes to revitalizing cocktails, the Bloody Mary reigns supreme. This savory and spicy concoction is a brunch staple, and St. Barth's take on this classic drink is truly exceptional. Our favorite spot for enjoyng a delicious bloody is at Pearl Beach.  A combinaton of the crashing waves, feet in the sand and Julian's delicious concoction of vodka, fresh tomato juice, tobasco and lots of fresh lemon makes for a truly unforgettable experience.
Cheers to a memorable experience filled with sun-kissed beaches and tantalizing libations!  xo MB
